2026 Residential Rebates
Southern Indiana Power has a long history of supporting members with rebate incentives to offset purchase and installation costs of heating and cooling equipment. We’ve been able to do this, in part, with support from our generation and transmission cooperative, Hoosier Energy. It’s important to maintain the electric load of our system and to do so in a responsible manner.
Equipment that we offer rebate incentives for include: geothermal, air source, mini-split, dual fuel heat pumps, and hybrid heat pump water heaters.
2026 Residential Rebate Program SIP
Deadline to apply is December 15, 2026.
2026 Residential Electric Outdoor Equipment Rebate Program
Your cooperative is offering rebates on electric lawnmowers, leaf blowers, chainsaws, snow-blowers, roto-tillers, pressure washers and string trimmers. Whether you search online or stop by local hardware store, we want you to find equipment to keep your lawn well-maintained for years to come. When shopping, look for manufacturers who use lithium-ion batteries as they provide the power you expect and charge quickly. Equipment can be corded or battery operated (see terms and conditions sheet). If you need a new push mower, be sure you choose a model that runs on at least 36 volts.
The brand you choose is up to you, as well as where you make the purchase – we trust you know what you need and respect where you want to shop. The incentive will be offered on a first come-first served basis.

2026 HVAC Tune-Up Rebate Program
It’s time to schedule your annual pre-season heating, ventilation and air conditioning equipment (HVAC) check-up with a licensed HVAC contractor to ensure your system is operating efficiently. Tune-ups cannot be self-performed.
The HVAC tune up rebate is designed for air source heat pumps and central air conditioning systems. Gas furnaces are not eligible unless part of a central air system. The incentive will be offered on a first come-first served basis.

2026 Residential Water Heater Rebate Program
Water heating is the second-largest energy expense in most households, accounting for around 18% of the power bill. That means the type of water heater and how you use it is very important. Water heaters and heat pump water heaters have come a long way in efficiency standards. New energy-efficient storage water heaters contain high levels of insulation around the tank to reduce standby heat loss, and heat pump water heaters, like your heat pump HVAC unit, utilize the air around them to heat your water. Both can save you up to $550 a year.
